This is a busy role that requires you to be able to work under pressure, there is some lifting of pots required so your physical fitness is important.

Nestled on fifty acres of absolute beach front paradise, Elements of Byron is a privately owned, award-winning resort offering luxury accommodation options, world-class resort facilities and unforgettable experiences. Consisting of 202 luxury freestanding villas with eight different villa options we are designed to delight every kind of visitor. We have a beautiful central Lagoon pool, an award-winning Adults only pool, multiple food and beverage outlets that include, Breeze Café and Azure Restaurant. Barefoot luxury at every step.

There may be weekend and public holidays work, so we require your flexibility to work across 7 days of the week.

**We have casual positions available up to 30 hrs a week**, there are nights and weekend work required. We are looking for someone who can work both morning and afternoon shifts and can confirm completion of the NSW **Food Handler Basics Training Certificate** or happy to complete prior to your first shift.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Cleaning duties including sanitizing all food and storage areas, walk in freezers, ovens, freestanding hot and cold boxes and dry storage cupboards.
- Operating dishwashing machine
- Ensuring kitchen is kept clean and tidy according to current health and hygiene regulations
- Ensuring each outlet is supplied with sanitised, clean and dry operational equipment
- Safely handling chemicals and equipment as per manufacturer’s instructions
- Ensuring rubbish is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift
- Contributing to sustainable approach through energy conservation and the careful use of water, cleaning materials and other appliances

**Requirements**:

- You must be **reliable** and arrive for your designated shifts on time as punctuality is very important
- A positive and friendly attitude
- Available to work a rotating roster across 7 days week
- Available to work up to 30 hrs a week both AM and PM shifts
- Permanent Australian residency or Working Holiday Visa who can commit to a min of at least 6 months
- Previous experience as a dish washer in a commercial kitchen environment is preferred
- Completion of the **Food Handler Basics Training Certificate** or happy to complete prior to your first shift
- Understanding of food safety requirements
- Availability to work nights and weekends
