Forklift Driver with High Reach experience

**Your new role**

This position involves operating a high reach forklift. The primary responsibility of this position is to efficiently and safely move materials, goods, and products within the warehouse. The high reach forklift is specifically designed to handle heavy loads at elevated heights, allowing for efficient stacking and retrieval of items from high racks or shelves.

In this role, the forklift operator with high reach experience will be required to perform the following tasks:
Operation of High Reach Forklift: The operator will be responsible for driving the forklift with precision, utilising the high reach feature to lift, lower, and transport pallets, crates, and other materials as per instructions.

Load Stacking and Un-stacking: The operator will be proficient in stacking and un-stacking loads in a safe and organised manner. This involves accurately positioning the forks to engage the load, lifting it to the desired height, and carefully placing it onto the designated storage location.

Inventory Management: The forklift operator may be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes or utilising warehouse management systems. This ensures proper tracking and control of materials and helps prevent discrepancies.

Safety Compliance: Safety is of paramount importance in this role. The operator must strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment, following established operating procedures, and conducting routine equipment inspections to identify any maintenance or repair needs.

Collaborative Communication: Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other personnel is essential. The forklift operator must be able to communicate clearly to coordinate tasks, report any issues or concerns, and participate in team meetings or training sessions as required.

Equipment Maintenance: The forklift operator may be responsible for conducting routine maintenance tasks, such as performing pre
- and post-shift inspections, checking fluid levels, and ensuring the forklift is in proper working condition. Any malfunctions or defects should be promptly reported for repair.

Overall, a forklift position with high reach experience requires a skilled operator who can manoeuvre a forklift with precision, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and prioritise safety while handling materials at elevated heights. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and adherence to safety protocols are crucial for success in this role.
