About the Role The Head of Department - English/Humanities role at Yarrabilba State Secondary College starts on 11th August 2025 (Week 5, Term 3). We are seeking a strong relational and instructional leader with a proven track record of driving improvement in English and Humanities. This role offers a unique chance to lead high-performing teams, foster positive relationships across the school community, and shape innovative teaching practices in a rapidly growing, future-focused school. Your Responsibilities As the Head of Department - English / Humanities, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Lead faculty teams in alignment with school priorities and departmental initiatives Develop and embed high-quality teaching and learning practices Support the wellbeing and professional growth of team members Contribute to the broader strategic leadership of the college Please refer to the attached role description for the full list of responsibilities and mandatory requirements for this position.
