The Executive team drives the strategic direction of the business, to ensure sustainable outcomes for Queenslanders and the workers compensation scheme.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Claims Management Officer (CCMO), is responsible for the entire case management function and must ensure the effective operation and performance of the statutory workers compensation claims scheme. Working closely with your four direct reports, as CCMO you will inspire and lead a team of 460, to strive for operational excellence using digital technology. The environment is challenging, with growing claim durations and heightened outstanding claims provisions. You must lead your team to challenge the status quo and think innovatively to develop and implement streamlined, efficient practices that will reduce provisions and achieve improved claim durations and outcomes for customers. The delivery of these outcomes will enhance and maximise the efficiency of the business unit and experience of each team member.

Your extensive insurance knowledge, ability to work cohesively with a range of stakeholders, demonstrated success effectively managing a large team and willingness to explore alternate views will assist you to succeed. Excellent communication skills, proven experience managing complex and sensitive consultations, negotiations and partnership arrangements and comprehensive understanding of the commercial, industrial and political considerations that impact the business are essential in the CCMO.
