Upper Lachlan Shire Council has an opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as **Manager Human Resources**
The position reports to the Director Finance and Administration and will work closely with Council CEO. The Manager Human Resources plays a key role in leading, mentoring and guiding the functions of Council. You will be a trusted advisor and support to senior leaders as well as supervising WHS, payroll and human resources operations. Your contributions will help foster a culture of performance and service delivery, ultimately supporting Council's goals and ensuring a positive and productive workplace.

**The Role**
As a Manager Human Resources:
- Offers a challenging and rewarding career in local government;
- Deliver the services of the Human Resources, Learning and Development, WH&S and payroll business unit portfolios according to legislation and adopted strategies to meet community needs and organisational priorities.
- Provide management level working experience in employment legislation, industrial awards and workers compensation management.
- Manage, support, develop, and guide the work and performance of staff reporting directly to this role in addition to the entire Council workforce.
- Deliver workplace management advice, well being programs and provide systems and processes that contribute to efficient and effective initiatives that contribute to the achievement of the principal activities of the Council's Delivery Program and Operational Plan.
**About you**
- You are a motivated individual with a can-do attitude;
- You have a degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management or equivalent tertiary qualification with demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrate managerial-level experience and managed multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a current Class C Driver's License.
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Your exceptional interpersonal skills enable you to negotiate win-win outcomes.

This position is Grade 17 in accordance with Council's Salary System and the Local Government (State) Award 2023. Council offers an attractive salary range this is dependent upon skills and experience of the applicant between $1,959-2,216 per week plus 11.5% superannuation.
