We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated leader to join our Melbourne team, based at our head office in Silvan.

Your role: As a Rangeview Transport Manager, you will work directly with the company owners and General Manager to develop and implement their business vision. You will consult manifests and freight management systems to strategize the fleet’s collections and deliveries.

You will work alongside the depot’s morning manager and coordinate the entirety of our fleet’s movements; home and away, prepare weekly rosters, freight manifests and resolve unexpected last-minute changes in the day’s schedule. Together, you will communicate openly and clearly and be the unstoppable force that keeps Rangeview Transport’s gears turning.

You will also coach our drivers towards best performance and set nothing less than a gold standard for guideline compliance. You will also be managing the depot itself as well as the team of warehouse staff that run it. You will also help innovate and implement KPI’s for our team to meet.

We have a range of vehicles within our fleet: which consists of modern, automatic SCANIA trucks (six of which are new this year). Our trucks are meticulously maintained, washed and cleaned on site and we have repair and maintenance contracts on each of the vehicles. It will also be a part of your role to oversee their performance, upkeep and servicing.

To summarize; you will play an utterly integral part in making our great company even greater.

What we need:

- A truck driver’s licence; Heavy Rigid as an absolute minimum with Heavy/Multi Combination preferred. A forklift licence is also considered essential to this role.
- Excellent time management, organisational skills and planning in order to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Prior knowledge of NHVR procedures and conditions.
- Dynamic leadership that will define team success.
- Be physically fit enough to lead our load teams from the front.
- Keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring that quality standards are upheld.
- Prior experience in logistics and freight is an absolute, non-negotiable must.
- A sense of humour will take you a long way
