**The Role**

As a senior leader in the organisation, you will be accountable for the strategic approach and execution of technology, data and change management audits. This includes the provision of audit Subject Matter Expert services for regulated entity supervisory assessments.

**The Team**

APRA's Internal Audit (IA) function independently evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes throughout APRA and provides independent challenge and escalations. The function also acts as a Subject Matter Expert to assist APRA’s front line leaders build and maintain supervisory technical audit skills, including support to front line supervisors with assessment of regulated entities third line audit capability.

**What your typical day will look like**
- Jointly responsible for development and execution of the rolling Internal Audit Plan, leading internal and external resources and/or perform all aspects in the audit cycle.
- Monitor and assure on managements implementation of action plans, including advising the executive on issue management, and risk acceptance/ buy down.
- Pioneer IA’s strategic approach and influence as an expert the broader assurance architecture for data governance, technology (including cyber), and change/ transformation.
- Provide the Audit & Risk Committee, Members, the Executive and senior leaders with strategic, governance and operational internal audit reporting.

**About you**
- Proven experience working with executive leaders including presenting at executive and board level.
- Proven experience managing audit activity over large projects including digital transformation initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.
- Exposure to assessments of agile methodologies within program/portfolio management functions.
- Sound understanding of contemporary technology platforms, particularly in the areas of Cloud and Data.
- Desirable experience in the Financial Services industry or working experience within a regulator/ enforcement organisation.
