Sydney- Investment Banking- Contract or TemporaryThe Senior Fixed Income Middle Office Analyst will be based in Sydney and sitting on the trading floor supporting the Fixed Income sales and trading teams with trade execution across Fixed Income and OTC derivatives. This is a 6-month contract role with view to go permanent. The Fixed Income Traders Assistant supports approximately 10 traders across multiple debt asset classes.

The team supports a full range of products traded by the respective trading desk including:

- FI Securities - Domestic & International with a focus on Asian markets
- FI Derivatives - Interest Rates / Cross Currency Swaps, Swaptions.

The role’s primary responsibility is to execute trades for the sales and trading teams. Middle Office’s mandate is to be responsible for the validation of the accuracy and completeness of trade execution activity and the Transaction & Position Data through its life cycle events. This will include:

- Trade execution and capture in risk management systems is timely & accurate to enable trading off true & correct risk positions
- Information flow to the downstream settlement teams (Securities Utility) is complete, timely & accurate
- Single point of contact between Operations & the business
- Single point of contact for client / broker queries

**Requirements**:

- Solid knowledge of Fixed Income products with trade execution experience
- Understanding of Trading activities with focus on Risk Management
- Understanding of Front to Back process flow
- Knowledge of PnL reporting requirements within a Trading environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / VBA skills
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail through data entry / reconciliations & query resolution
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Highly motivated, willing to work long hours when required
- Ability to work under pressure
