**What’s so exciting about this role?**

This newly created role will have you leading the Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers at the hummgroup. This role will allow you to steer on the 'how' and on the standards a member uses in their job including general skill development.

**Requirements for this role (you may not have them all)**:

- Define the Test Practice and Test Automation Strategy that align with our humm scrum agile practices
- Develop and instill a continuous improvement culture via a focus on process improvements & innovation
- Determine test strategies that mitigate the risks and a plan that works within the constraints
- Work with architects, other leads (e.g. Tech Leads and Agile Practice Lead), QA engineers and other stakeholders to select suitable tools to implement test automation
- Introduce new tools and approaches to test automation through experimentation and prototyping to enhance the CI/CD pipeline as well as the potential use of BDD and TDD
- Train and develop both QA team members and squad team members to align to a common testing practice, to improve skills and performance to achieve outcomes and grow our capability
- Perform resource planning, effort estimation, cost estimation, task allocation and schedule management for testing assignments
- Work with Release team to ensure a successful product delivery through SIT/UAT/PROD
- Provide guidance to QAs for the both functional and non-functional testing execution
- Prepare training, knowledge sharing, and mentoring session to grow other testers.
- Be comfortable to conduct a presentation to wider audience in the origination to introduce the testing strategy, test process and test findings
- Help to grow the engineering team by establishing the right practices across all test teams while collaborating with Architects and Tech Leads while leaving space for autonomy within squads.

**We also require someone with**:

- Experience within a fast paced/enterprise environment in various technologies, platforms and SDLCs
- Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies, & tools
- Experience of working an agile environment, particularly the Scrum framework
- Experience in Test Automation highly desirable, and the use of automation tools, such as TestComplete, Selenium, Appium, Karate, SoapUI and Postman etc.
- Excellent grasp of test analysis and planning, release processes and test environment principles
- A strong work ethic and team skills, including mentoring
- A strong leadership skill and communication skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders from the business
- Experience in cloud based services such as Azure or AWS
- Experience in non-functional testing, such as load/stress/performance tools (e.g. JMeter) or security testing (such as WSTG)
- Experience working in a CI/CD delivery environment using Jenkins, Maven, BitBucket, Git etc. would be advantageous
- Experience in mentoring and coaching junior team member
