**About the role and where you will be working**:
As Head Gardener working with our Independent Living Units you’ll be playing an important role providing efficient and high-quality gardening service, responsible for the maintenance of the gardens and grounds at our retirement villages. This role is supported by two other gardening positions.

**We’ll also be asking you to:

- **
- Lead a small team to develop and implement plans of gardening work, based on each sites needs.
- Design, manage, maintain, and establish gardens, grounds, and lawns.
- Ensure that maintenance of plant and equipment (including reticulation) are of the highest standard and that staff are aware of the safe handling of equipment and chemicals.
- Manage the budget for each of the village’s horticultural works.

**To be considered for this role, you’ll need**:

- Horticulture qualification preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Ability to use professional mowing, trimming, and pruning equipment
- Team player and customer focussed
- Attention to detail for good record keeping
