**The Division**

Transport’s Regional and Outer Metropolitan division’s purpose is to make regional and outer metropolitan NSW a better place to live, work and visit. Our division is made up of over 4,400 people in over 270 locations across NSW. We operate transport services and maintain our regional networks to help our regional communities and visitors stay safe and connected.

**About the team - Maintenance and Delivery West**

Maintenance and Delivery West are part of the Network and Assets Branch. This team is an internal delivery partner for construction and maintenance projects that concern road and bridge assets within the West Region Transport Network.

We require the collective skillset of multi-disciplinary teams to be successful in the delivery of construction and maintenance programs to high level safety, quality and efficiency requirements. We need to be agile, creative, and innovative to deliver the sustainable solutions necessary for a resilient network. We lead diverse teams that are geographically dispersed and with varying specialist skillsets.

Our workbook ranges from technically challenging construction projects and responsive routine maintenance programs that ensure that connections between remote communities are enhanced, safe and accessible for our customers.

**The opportunity**

Right now, we have a **permanent full-time opportunity for a Work Supervisor to join us in the Maintenance and Delivery Central West District team, based in Bowenfels, NSW**. The Works Supervisor is expected to lead a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of road, maintenance and construction works to ensure delivery in accordance with time, quality and scope requirements

**Key accountabilities of the role**
- Supervise, plan and coordinate major and minor contracts including managing and allocating project resources to ensure agreed time, cost, quality, safety and environmental targets are met.
- Review work processes and procedures including reporting mechanisms and implement improvements to support the administration of the section's work and contracts.
- Develop and manage the performance of diverse group of staff by providing performance feedback, identifying skills gaps, preparing team and individual development plans.
- Conduct risk assessments, facilitate and review safe work method statements, conduct toolbox talks and site inductions and investigate incidents and non-conformance to ensure quality, safety, and environmental systems are complied
- You’ll develop a stronger understanding of good quality construction and maintenance procedures and have the ability to raise necessary procedures to ensure our final product meets TfNSW standards, ensuring roads last for their intended purpose and ultimately enhancing a better output for our communities

**About You**

You are a driven individual with broad construction experience looking for an opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects, while making a real difference and advancing your career through professional development and training.

In addition to your extensive road construction and maintenance experience, you are confident both working within and leading construction staff, contractors and subcontractors on site. Your collaborative mindset, enthusiasm and great communication skills allow you to manage staff effectively, while your time management and organisational skills will allow you to stay in control in a dynamic environment.

Ideally you will hold qualifications in frontline leadership and/or Civil Construction and hold relevant licenses/ tickets such as Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan (PWZTMP)
