The role
Reporting to the Manager, Legislative Policy Unit, you will manage primary and subordinate legislation projects and undertake legislative policy reviews. You will analyse and report on submissions, reports and proposals covering a wide range of health-related legislative policy issues. In addition, the Principal Policy Officer will provide support and advice to policy areas within Queensland Health as well as prepare high quality briefing notes, ministerial communications and reports.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated experience in researching and analysing complex legislative policy issues and providing high quality advice to management. Your high level interpersonal and communication skills we be required to present complex concepts and advice to internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you will have an understanding of legislation under the Health portfolio.
