Looking to kickstart your career in Local Government and considering the civil construction industry?

Maxima, in partnership with the City of West Torrens, are looking for a committed and driven individual to undertake a 3-year Civil Construction Apprenticeship.

Located in the Western suburbs, this full-time opportunity will see you gaining hands-on experience and studying towards a nationally recognised
**Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations**.

Join a friendly and experienced team and learn all aspects of the building and construction industry to help make a positive change to the infrastructure in your local community.

**Benefits**:

- All work uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided
- 9-day working fortnight
- Obtain HR Truck Licence, Work Zone Traffic Management, White Card, Excavator, Backhoe and Skidsteer tickets
- Possible eligibility for Government incentives of up to $5,000 in the first 2-years

**Duties Include**:

- Site preparation and excavation
- Level base and surface materials
- Repair and installation of drainage logistics
- Concrete and bitumen repairs and reinstatements
- Install safety barriers and traffic management
- Operate plant machinery and use power tools

**About You**:

- Driven with a positive attitude
- Enjoy working in an outdoor environment
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Physically fit and able to move repetitively
- Strong verbal communication skills

**Role Requirements**:

- Provisional or c-class driver’s licence with reliable transport
- Any labouring or industry experience (desirable)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test
