TGE is seeking the support of a high calibre Commercial Analyst to join our Business Performance and Analysis team. As a Commercial Analyst you will be reporting to our Senior Commercial Manager. You will be partnering with the Tasmanian and Courier Business units and will be the SME of revenue data providing timely, accurate and insightful, reporting, analysis and forecasting of revenue. Some of your other responsibilities are as follows:

- Developing an understanding of the source system, interfaces, processes (customer, billings, credits) and intercompany / internal revenue streams
- Develop accurate, detailed, driver-based monthly revenue forecasts and annual budgets using consistent TGE modelling methodologies
- Provide high quality commercial reporting, analytics, commentary and insights on weekly and Monthly Revenue performance.
- Track actual performance against yield improvement initiatives and key customer forecast assumptions / metrics across uprate programs, up/down trade, churn and new business.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and drive improvements in systems, processes, data and reporting. This includes participating in the development of standardised, automated, audience focussed reporting in Power BI.
- Collaborate with multiple teams and functions to meet time sensitive deadlines and develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Review and approve credit claims for customers within delegated authority. Provide weekly and monthly reporting and analysis of customer claims to Senior stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on financial performance

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Engineering or other relevant discipline and 2+ years of commercial analysis experience; OR
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial analysis in a complex business environment

Required Skills & Capabilities:

- Advanced Excel modelling skills and experience in the manipulation of large data sets (previous experience with SQL, Oracle, TM1 or Power Bi is beneficial)
- Proficiency in using large data sets to identify trends and experience in using strong written and verbal skills to concisely communicate findings to leadership.
- Experience in driver-based forecasting and budgeting in a complex business environment
- High attention to detail and an interest in solving data challenges in a complex system environment
