**About Your Next Exciting Opportunity**
Wellways are excited to offer the position of **Support Worker**, this role will suit someone who enjoys interacting and supporting our **participant** with daily activities.
In this role you will work on the front line of our Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants activities of daily living such as personal care, domestic assistance, continence management, feeding and mobilising. This role requires you will work closely with the person to ensure their individual needs are met.
Support Workers are the front line of our Consumer Directed Services programs, providing consumers with the personalised **support** to assist our participants to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Your varied day may include providing support with activities of daily living such as companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance, and medication management. An essential element of your role is that you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of care provided to participants.

You are an independent, proactive thinker and worker but are also able to follow direction/s given by your managers and can work within a tight-knit team.

**So What Do You Need?**
- Certificate 3 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or related fields (Desired, but not essential)
- Evidence of working rights within Australia
- First Aid Certification - current
- A current valid Driver's Licence and a registered, insured vehicle
- Satisfactory Police Records Check and Working with Children Check, current - prior to commencement
- NDIS Orientation Certificate - current
- NDIS Worker Screening Check - current
- Blue Card / Working with Children Check
- Evidence of full COVID vaccination, including Booster, or valid medical exemption
- Manual Handling training would be desirable but not essential
