**About The Opportunity**

The purpose of this position is to lead a team of Community Development Officers and coordinate community development programs, policies, strategies and capacity building initiatives. Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Undertake research and engage with stakeholders to establish a policy that articulates Council's objectives, principles, role and engagement in relation to homelessness
- Represent and provide input on behalf of Council at established cross-government and sector working groups
- Undertake consultation and planning to identify gaps/opportunities to strengthen cross-government/sector collaboration and outcomes

**About You**
- Experience in budget management
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
- Problem solving, negotiation & conflict resolution skills
- Qualification in Human Services or relevant field (Desirable)
- Knowledge & understanding of current community development trends
