Yongala Preschool is situated in Balwyn and is a well-resourced community run Preschool with a beautiful, spacious light filled indoor and well-shaded natural outdoor play space. It is a committee run preschool with a committed team of skilled and dedicated staff. The preschool offers a sessional four-year-old preschool group and a sessional three-year-old preschool group. **Description**

An exciting ongoing opportunity has become available for a part-time diploma qualified or Cert III educator to join our three year old program in 2026. We are seeking a passionate, motivated and experienced Educator to join our small team as 3-Year-Old Educator. The key purpose of this role is to support the teacher in delivering our high-quality program that nurtures the growth and development of children. They will be an essential part of the Yongala Preschool team, working collaboratively with educators, 22 children, and families to deliver a safe and engaging play based program. The position is for a Monday and Wednesdays including 12 hrs 40 minutes contact hours and 3hrs 20 minutes non-contact, including a middle of the day block. A total 17 hours including 2 nonpaid lunch breaks of 30 minutes each. Educators are employed under the VECTEA 46/52 model and receive ten weeks paid leave over the school holidays.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or Certificate 111 in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent as approved by ACECQA)
- Excellent communication skills including IT, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with educators, parents, children, and the wider community.
- Working with Children’s Check and Understanding of the Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Scheme
- Current first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management training
- Police check (or willing to obtain)
- Relevant Child Protection Training, eg Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting and other Obligations for the Early Childhood Sector.
- Previous experience in an early learning setting and good understanding of the National Quality Framework, VEYLDF, and National Laws and Regulations
