**About the Centre/Service**

Situated near the Edithvale Wetlands Nature Reserve and Aspendale Primary, we offer play-based curriculum which evolves from the children’s interests. Both indoor and outdoor experiences are carefully planned to enable each child to learn, develop and thrive. The program uses play as a foundation for learning. Children who attend a Glen Education kindergarten are engaged in a play-based curriculum which evolve from the curiosities of children, and which engage them through things that spark their interests.

**Work Days of the Role**

Tues, Wed & Thurs plus 1/2 day extra non-contact time negotiable

**Hours of Work of the Role**

21hours contact/5.25hours non-contact TOTAL 26.25 hours with opportunity to increase

**Description**
- An Early Childhood Education certificate, diploma, degree or equivalent, as approved by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Must hold a valid and current Working with Children Clearance or VIT registration (provisional or full registration)
- Must hold a current (not older than 6 months) National Police Check
- Must hold a valid and current First Aid (Education and Care Setting), CPR and Child Protection certificates
- Demonstrated knowledge of current best practice that is reflective of the approved National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010
- Working knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to deliver high quality education
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and confidence to engage with a diverse range of people
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate a positive work culture and be solution focused in thinking and practice
- Teachers must have demonstrated capacity to positively and confidently lead teams
