**The Opportunity**:
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to join our IT Risk and Security team in **Brisbane**on a **Full Time Permanent**basis.

This is an amazing opportunity to become an advisor to management, helping to navigate and manage risks related to corporate information and technology within financial services. You’ll play a hands-on role in cybersecurity risk governance, compliance, assessments and user awareness, while also providing valuable advice on information and technology risks to inform the technology strategy.

This position offers fantastic exposure, allowing you to collaborate closely with experts from QIC’s Cloud Engineering, Service Desk, Corporate Risk and Internal Communications teams. It’s an incredible chance to gain cross-functional experience, build your knowledge and grow in the fast-paced, ever-evolving cyber security field.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct risk assessments for both operational and third-party projects, maintaining relevant registers and documentation.
- Assist in managing and updating technology contingency plans, ensuring they are current and aligned with business requirements.
- Support the maintenance of the enterprise-wide information security framework, developing standards, procedures, and tools in line with evolving industry best practices.
- Operate internal compliance programs and assist with reporting and managing IT and cybersecurity risks.
- Help develop and deliver Information Security awareness programs including materials, education sessions and incident response exercises.
- Administer and report on information classification and data governance practices.
- Prepare regular reports on information security metrics and assist with incident management and documentation.Provide support and guidance to teams on security controls and policies, ensuring alignment with business needs.
