**St John of God Geelong Hospital** is a 276-bed hospital located in the CBD of Geelong, and is recognised as the leading provider of private health care in the Barwon and South-western region of Victoria.
- Our recent expansion has seen our range of services grow significantly and we now have a major focus on day surgery, medical, surgical, obstetric and cardiac services, as well as a state of the art Emergency department.
- **Enrolled and Registered Nurses** to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team on a casual basis.
**Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses** will enjoy a challenging role in a variety of specialities, including:
- Orthopaedics/Urology
- General medical/Oncology/Palliative Care
- Colorectal/Bariatric/Breast/General surgical
- ENT/Plastics/Vascular/Paediatrics
- Inpatient Rehab
- Day Stay Oncology
- Perioperative Services
**_Applicants will be selected for both current and future vacancies as they become available within the next six months._**
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled or Registered Nurse.
- One-year recent postgraduate experience in a hospital environment is essential.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills relevant to the Unit/Department speciality.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus
- Ability to work flexibly within a team environment.
- Ability to organise workloads, prioritise, delegate and meet timelines,
- Knowledge of and experience in risk management and quality improvement
- Basic computer literacy.
- Commitment to on-going education and self-directed learning.
- Delegation and motivational skills.
- Knowledge of acts and legislation that impact on the practice of nursing.
- Ability to educate patients, family and staff.
- Knowledge and skills of the principles of infection management.
- Planning and organisational skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Flexibility to accommodate the changing needs of the department.
**Enrolled Nurses must be fully Medication Endorsed.**
