About the School
North Lakes is located 25 kilometres north of the Brisbane CBD along the Bruce Highway. The college opened its doors in 2002 as a P-3 College.
North Lakes State College was planned as a unique State Government education facility, which would enable students to commence in Prep and continue through to Year 12 at the one school. This P to 12 college organisation provides a seamless progression for students, enabling them to build on their skills and knowledge without transition interruptions.
About the Role
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Administer, manage and monitor students who are involved in VETIS Funded Programs, School Based Traineeship/Apprenticeships or other External Courses.
- Support the Senior Schooling Team with the record keeping, management and databases for achievement and progress of students in years 10-12.
- Provide administrative support as required by the Senior Schooling Team to meet compliance and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Prepare communications and provide information to students, staff and parents/caregivers of industry and study opportunities.
- Form connections and partnerships with local employers and training providers to ensure a quality educational outcome for all students.
- Develop engagement activities and market the benefits of School Based Traineeships, Apprenticeships and TAFE training as a career pathway preference for students at North Lakes State College.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers and apprenticeship support agencies.
- Work directly with schools, vocational education institutions, government, industry, business and community groups to form productive partnerships and develop networks to position School Based Traineeships, Apprenticeships and work experience to give insight to career pathway choices for students at North Lakes State College.
- Work closely with the Head of Departments for Senior Schooling, Deputy Principal and Head of School, providing regular updates of program outcomes and identify issues that may impact on the success of a program.
About You
**The following skills and attributes would be highly regarded**:
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Provide a high level of administrative support to the Senior Schooling team
- Previous experience in working within One School, Compass, TrackEd and QCAA.
You must have a current paid Blue Card, issued by Blue Card Services, and consent to a Criminal History Check.
