ARG Workforce has partnered with one of Brisbane's most prestigious college to engage an experienced Maintenance Worker for the following, full-time permanent position based in the Toowong area.

This role is part of a small support-focused team, delivering maintenance support services to all college community members.

The Maintenance Assistant will perform day-to-day maintenance requests and assist in the set up and pack down for college functions. The role will also help in maintaining the security of the college grounds.

**Duties**:

- Safely move and set up furniture in specified venues for College events, functions, meetings and other activities eg. assemblies, exams, parent-teacher interviews, etc.
- Safely pack down furniture and, if necessary, organise transfer back to point of origin.
- Maintain security of the College’s grounds and buildings.
- Unlock gates, doors and buildings as required.
- Activate and deactivate building alarm systems.
- Perform day-to-day maintenance requests, such as replacement of batteries, fluorescent tubes, light globes and other fixes.
- Refuel College vehicles and fuel cans.
- Clean College swimming pool and balance chemicals.
- Deliver parcels around the campus as required.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Logistics Coordinator
- Experience in general handiwork and/or maintenance tasks.
- Good health, fitness and mobility and the ability to carry out repetitive, physical activity, including heavy lifting.
- Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team and understand the value of teamwork.
- Positive attitude, proactive approach and a willingness to help out wherever needed.
- Good time management skills and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Sound interpersonal skills with a range of stakeholders, from students, through to senior management and members of the College community.
- Understanding of safe work practices, including Occupational Health and Safety procedures.
- Manual Drivers licence with reliable transport
- Blue card or willingness to obtain one.
