**About the role**

Detector Inspector has engaged a Registered Training Organisation and is now offering qualified plumbers and gas fitters the opportunity to obtain their **Type A Appliance Servicing accreditation**. Become an employee, we’ll cover the course fees, and you’ll get paid while you train.

**The course offers**:

- A combination of online learning, in-house practical training and on the field training.
- Learn how to test, diagnose, and repair faults on domestic and commercial Type A gas appliances.
- These appliances include ducted heaters, wall furnaces, hot water services, space heaters and cookers.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will have a nationally recognised Type A Appliance Servicing registration with the VBA and a full-time employee position with Detector Inspector.

**Your day-to-day**
**responsibilities**:
As a Service Works Gas Fitter, you will be conducting gas appliance safety checks and servicing for our clients across Victoria. Your day-to-day activities will include:

- Conduct gas appliance safety checks, cleaning and servicing for our clients
- Check installations of appliances
- Perform CO spillage & Negative Pressure environment testing

**Requirements**:

- Current registration/license in Gas fitting work class
- Eager and willingness to learn
- Domestic experience (preferred but not essential)
- National Police Check and cleared Pre-Employment Physical Assessment (organised and paid by us)
- Valid Driver’s license and willingness to travel
