We have a fantastic opportunity for a committed, enthusiastic, and passionate Village Manager to lead our highly-regarded over 55’s community, Watermark Freshwater, as part of the Mounties Group. Our Village is situated on the prestigious headland of Curl Curl and Freshwater Beach enjoying 180-degree ocean view. Watermark Freshwater has been offering both a thriving independent intergenerational village lifestyle whereby residents enjoy a lively and active yet safe, secure, and friendly community environment.

**About the Role**

As the village manager, you will ensure the residents enjoy a lively, active yet safe, secure, and friendly environment by overseeing the day to day operations of Watermark Freshwater Village.

More specifically, some duties will include:

- Provision of high levels of service to residents and the efficient and effective management of the Village
- Ensuring compliance with the Retirement Villages Act and any other relevant legislation in operating the Village
- Co-ordination and participation of social activities and preparation of monthly social calendar
- Working with and assisting with Sales and marketing and responsibility for all unit resales.
- Attending to the timely refurbishment of units for resale
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders
- Ongoing reviews of WHS and regular inspections of the work environment to ensure a safe and healthy workplace
- Establish an effective working relationship with local community groups to secure the provision of social and care services to residents
- Preparing invoices for payment and controlling costs where applicable in line with budget
- Assisting with annual Village budget and monitoring monthly resident payments
- Ensuring a professional and friendly approach in the work environment.

**About You**
- Prior working experience in a retirement village is highly desirable
- Excellent people management, relationship building and communication (oral/written) skills
- Excellent leadership skills in managing and motivating a small village team with a desire to build and maintain a positive work culture with a commitment to fostering fun, friendly and supportive team environment
- Be highly-motivated, proactive, hands-on, and maintain a positive attitude
- Commitment to maintaining, developing, and protecting the Watermark Freshwater - Mounties Group brand and reputation
- Demonstrated sales and marketing skills
- Demonstrated financial management and budgeting skills
- Extensive knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act
