SUPPORT WORKERS - YOUTH

ChoiceOne have some exciting casual shifts available for qualified & experienced youth support workers, in a variety of residential settings across metro Perth.

Shifts on offer will include a mix of day/night/sleep shifts ranging from 6 - 12 hours each

These roles will involve supporting youth with daily living activities and transport to school, appointments and other commitments.

The youth that you will be supporting have experienced some trauma in their lives and will require guidance, structure and routine in their lives. You will need to have the ability to manage trauma triggered behaviours and emotional peaks.

Calm demeanor needed, with the ability to manage elevated behaviours whilst creating a safe environment. We are looking for supports that are committed to making a difference in young lives and developing strong and effective relationships. You will be supporting clients to develop essential life skills and strategies to manage day to day tasks.

Mandatory Role Requirements:

- Relevant qualification - Cert III in Individual Support, Diploma in Community Service or equivalent.
- Experience working in a variety of care settings
- Knowledge of trauma and associated behaviours
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
- Effective communication and de-escalation skills
- National Police clearance no older than 6 months
- WWC check
- NDIS Worker screening check
- Driver’s licence
- Own transport
- First Aid Certificate
