Diesel Fitter

**Heavy Diesel Fitters** for engine & component rebuild work. These positions will be a permanent full time opportunities working on a rotational shift basis, 3 week roster cycle working 10 & 12 hour day and afternoon shifts (some mid week days off & 1 Saturday in every 3 weeks, no Sundays).

**About the role**
- To perform mechanical related tasks such as overhaul, installation and fit out of mechanical equipment
- High horsepower engine rebuilds (GE experience is highly desirable)
- Component rebuilds, pumps, turbochargers, power packs and compressors
- Inspect and interpret drawings and specifications and determine method of manufacture and standards as required
- Ensure active involvement in Lean practices
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safety environment

**About You**
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- High level of measuring skills and eye for detail and quality standards
- Strong communication skills. Both oral and written
- Previous work experience in the rail industry is desirable
