Alwyndor is an Adelaide based not-for-profit provider of Residential Living, Support at Home and Therapy and Wellness, located in the seaside suburb of Hove. Alwyndor is the result of the legacy and generosity of Dorothy Cheater who bequeathed the property to the City of Holdfast Bay.

We are seeking a Gardener to join our team of committed and passionate professionals and provide a range of high quality gardening services to older people living in their own homes in the community.

This will mean you will perform general Garden Maintenance activities such as (but not limited to):

- Basic landscaping to ensure safety of clients including lawn mowing, tree/shrub pruning and shaping bushes, basic planting, eliminating pests and garden rubbish tidy up and weeding.

This role requires people who are excellent communicators who have a positive attitude/friendly nature with a flexible approach that enables you to build lasting relationships based on trust and commitment with all stakeholders, our clients, their families and members of your team.

We want people who:

- are skilled in provision of gardening services (Essential)
- have a genuine commitment to helping older people retain their independence so that they can remain at home in the community while it is reasonable to do so
- are responsible and well organised approach to work with the demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and tasks
- have genuine empathy and respect for and ability to work with older people and their family/carers
- are understanding of and compliance with confidentiality requirements
- are reliable, honest and trustworthy
- have the ability to complete documentation reliably and in a timely manner
- have the proven ability to work independently without close supervision
- have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- have a basic knowledge of legislation in aged care and the legal implications of actions taken, e.g. Elder Abuse, Code of Conduct and duty of care;
- have a basic understanding of the needs and strengths of older people

To be considered for this role you must:

- be prepared to undertake a police background check
- be prepared to undergo a functional assessment (Provided by us)
- hold a Current SA Drivers Licence
