**About the Role**
The Honourable Justice Fox is seeking a legally qualified individual to be her associate with an estimated commencement date in mid-February 2026. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
**About You**
Excellent writing skills and a strong academic record are essential, along with personal qualities suitable for liaising with the profession and members of the public. An individual with up to two years' post-graduate experience is preferred. The successful applicant must have a genuine interest in criminal law.
One or more of the following would be advantageous: experience on the editorial committee of a university law journal; mooting; research work for an academic; and/or a higher degree in law.
**Duties include**:
- Performing administrative tasks, including maintaining Court records and preparing material for use by the Judge in Court;
- Preparing research and briefing memoranda and assisting in the production of judgments, papers and presentations, including proofreading and editing;
- Speaking in Court - empanelling juries, taking verdicts and arraigning the accused;
- Jury keeping duties during trial; and
- Liaising with Court staff, the public, the media and the profession.
