Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking the services of an experienced Gardener to join our busy team in an ongoing capacity and tend the gardens at Pialligo Estate.

The gardens have been designed by renowned Australian garden designer Paul Bangay and you will have an opportunity to work closely in the Gardening Team at the Estate. Along with a café setting perennial cottage garden.

You will have a working understanding of planting, pruning, native plant ID and seasonal requirements, as well as prior experience with mowers (push and ride-on), brush-cutters, edgers, and general farm machinery an advantage.

This role works in a team of 6 within all gardens on the Estate to look after the olive grove, fruit trees and vineyard (we already have a viticulturist) and includes spray management and the overall health of the Estate. You will work within **the Ornamental Gardens along with other areas of the grounds and maintenance team, which produces an abundance of fruit and vegetables throughout the seasons.**

A certificate in Horticulture is preferred but not essential if an understanding of the industry can be shown through work history. A Senior first aid Certificate and a Chem Cert Certificate would be advantageous but not essential.

It is essential to have a driver’s licence and a White Card for this role.

The role is hands on and we require someone who is physically fit and able to work on their feet for extended periods It's not excessive, but you will need energy

Salary range: $50,000 - $59,999
