**Ozcar Pty Ltd **was founded over 25 years ago. It is a locally owned private company that derives revenue from the sale of used motor vehicles, spare parts, and other trade-related services in Australia. It is the largest used car retailer in Australia, with dealerships in 19 locations.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced **Panelbeater** to join our team.

**Responsibility**:
Repairs damage to metal, fibreglass and plastic body work on vehicles and forms replacement vehicle panels. Registration or licensing may be required.

**Duties**:

- Removing damaged panels and parts, and removing upholstery and accessories to gain access
- Removing dents by hammering panels
- Straightening damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment
- Replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels
- Filling depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces
- Cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment
- Fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refitting body hardware such as door locks and trims
- May assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage and other specialty vehicles
- May spray-paint vehicles

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certificate III (or equivalent), including at least two years of on-the-job training,
- OR Certificate IV (or Equivalent)

**Experience**:

- At least three years of relevant experience.

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Have experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules
- Have adequate verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in metal shaping, welding, and fabrication techniques specific to heavy vehicles.
- Solid understanding of frame alignment, and structural repair principles.
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and customer interactions.
- Commitment to safety practices and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
