**About the Role**:
As a key member of the school support staff team, the ITD Teacher Aide will contribute to the provision of qualify education service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials, equipment, workshop resources and associated activities.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
Keep track of the materials in the storeroom and ensure the smooth transition of new material arriving, including storing of materials and preparing and allocating to workshop classes.
Provide support to the Head of Department and teachers by undertaking miscellaneous duties, including painting, creating tool boards, and replenishing stock in classrooms.
Use and maintain Illustrator, Fusion 360, Inventor and 3D Printer, including laser cutting.
Provide general administration support as required, including preparing finance documents such as purchase requisitions
Research, contact and order from suppliers approved by the Head of Department.
Assist with First Aid where required.
Highly desirable skills and experience;
Trade Certificate (working with furniture making and engineering manufactory equipment) is desirable.
Proven experience working with machinery, including timber, plastics, and metal (woodwork and metal work machinery).
Knowledge of tools and materials is highly regarded.
Understanding of or the ability to acquire knowledge and ability in 3D printing and laser cutting.
Demonstrated awareness of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
Senior First Aid Certificate or a commitment to obtain such a qualification within a time frame agreed by the school.
