**The Company**

**The Role**

Based in Adelaide and reporting directly to the CEO, in this newly created role you will provide highly specialised maintenance and engineering expertise, driving ongoing technical innovation and enhancement of assets across Balco’s three processing facilities.

With a high degree of accountability and autonomy, you will play a critical role in the achievement of Balco’s five-year growth plan, with impact across innovation, design, safety and quality assurance. Key responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing and monitoring Balco’s maintenance program across its three processing facilities, engaging closely with each site-based maintenance team
- Identifying and exploring asset upgrades and new technologies to further enhance efficiency and quality of Balco’s processing systems
- Providing expertise to production and maintenances teams regarding processing equipment, ensuring all equipment is functioning to specification and maintained effectively
- Assisting in root cause analysis investigations of plant failures and process issues, providing solutions and recommendations to maximise efficiency and output
- Advising on maintenance strategy, as well as developing capex project business cases and Board reports.

**The Person**
You will bring to the role:

- Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering, ideally with experience in hydraulics
- Maintenance strategy and execution experience, ideally in the manufacturing, processing or broader industrial sectors
- Experience in scoping and delivering engineering projects within an operational environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills to effectively engage across the organisation and drive results
- A strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation, looking to further optimise assets and processes to create further value for the business.
