**MAINTENANCE OFFICER | PPT | ALSTONVILLE** Make a difference with us **About BaptistCare Maranoa Centre** Located in the picturesque township of Alstonville, Maranoa Centre sits on truly magnificent grounds. Our lush rainforest patch has over 30 species of established rainforest trees, including a Moreton Bay Fig tree where many people love to rest and read. Maranoa Centre provides 90 beds for residents across all levels of care, including dementia care and respite care services. **About the role** At BaptistCare, we’re about our residents. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a powerful role in helping in the labouring duties associated with grounds & lawns maintenance and general maintenance activities, including but not limited to sweeping, hosing, garbage collection and disposal as well as painting and maintenance & repairing equipment as required. You will also be keeping the outside of buildings clean and tidy, other gardening duties. The role is **permanent part time** for** 60 hours a fortnight** **About you** Experience in aged care and residential facilities is desirable but not essential. General computer skills are essential and you must hold a current NSW driver’s license. - You have a hands-on approach with a "can do attitude" - Trade certificate is desired or a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience - Enjoys lawn maintenance & gardening and working outdoors - Has an understanding of Work, Health and Safety practices - Willingness to obtain chemical handling training **About Us** BaptistCare support thousands of people across 75 locations in NSW and ACT.
