We are currently actively looking to appoint 1* Part-time Kitchen hand and 2* Casual Catering / Servery Staff for our aged care facility at Lakemba to provide friendly and efficient service to our residents.

**The opportunity**

**Kitchen hand**

As a valuable member of the Kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the chef in the preparation and serving of quality meals, maintaining strict food safety standards and resident dietary requirements. You are also responsible for role modelling St Basil’s values and the behaviours to create positive and professional work environment for our valued residents, families, and employees.

As a Kitchen Hand you will assist with the creation and delivery of an amazing food experience to our residents in line with their preferences and dietary requirement.

Essentia Criteria:

- Food Safety Handling Certificate
- Minimum 6 months kitchen experience preferably in the aged care sector
- A strong passion for food and resident satisfaction
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Hard Working, flexible with good availability to cover shifts.
- Strong values of Dedication, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Contribution

**Catering / Servery Staff**

Your new role will see you take pride in the delivery and service of meals across dining areas within a residence and can work with other catering staff and assist with the preparation of basic food if required. Other responsibilities include setting up food trays based on resident’s dietary requirements and general cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas including washing dishes, cleaning floors and stock replenishment. It is essential that a consistently high standard of food service is provided to our residents, and you adhere to the safety (WHS) health, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained.

Essentia Criteria:

- Food Safety Handling Certificate
- Food handling / relevant experience
- Experience in a servery/hospitality environment
- Dedication and care for our residents to go above and beyond
- Strong communication skills
- Must have the ability to work within a team
- Strong values of Dedication, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Contribution
