Flute Teacher

**Role Description/Criteria**

The successful applicant will also be involved in College concerts, workshops and other activities as requested by the Director of Music. Working within the Siena College Music Department, the Flute Teacher will be part of a team of instrumental specialists, with a key objective of retaining and expanding flute enrolments, promoting flute and woodwind performance opportunities, and contributing to the overall growth of the Instrumental Music program.

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate their ability to:

- teach beginner and intermediate flute students through to VCE Music
- develop students’ musical understanding through the study of repertoire and theory
- support the objectives of the College’s ensemble program
- maintain effective communication and administrative practices

VIT Teacher Registration or a Working with Children Check and National Police check are required before commencing the position.
