Pole to Pit

A full-time, permanent position in the South East of Melbourne has become available for an experienced VESI Trained “Civil Worker” within our crew in the Power Industry, for immediate start.

**Position Summary**:

- Pole to Pit Works on the United Energy/Zinfra Network
- Installation of new Power Pits, Conduit and Cable
- Spotting Excavator Operator
- Hand Digging Around Assets
- Utilising Grundomat to bore underneath Footpaths, Crossovers and Roads
- Temporary Reinstatement of Footpaths, Crossovers and Roads
- Monday - Friday, with potential for overtime
- Excellent working conditions with a family owned and run small business

**About You**:

- Must have a proven history within the Power Industry in the same, or a similar role
- Physically fit and willing to get your hands dirty in a range of outdoor weather conditions
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Be highly self-motivated and have a great work ethic
- Enjoy manual labour
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Be comfortable working with and around critical underground infrastructure
- Have a high regard for safety
- Have the ability to problem-solve and identify solutions

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Australian Driver’s License and own/have regular access to a car
- MR Truck License
- Australian ESI Skills Passport (and all relevant certificates, both Mandatory and Conditional, for a “Civil Worker” as per the VESI Skills and Training Matrix)
- White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate)
- Spotters Registration Certificate
- United Energy & Zinfra Inductions (preferred, but not essential for employment consideration)

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- ESI Civil Worker: 1 year (preferred)
