The role in a nutshell
Our service in Reservoir is a bright space for children to thrive, explore and play
Mentone is home to 10-15 children during before & after school care and over the school holidays.
As the service lead, you will take ownership of the service and lead a team of quality educators in providing a quality program built by the children, for the children.
You will work mornings, Monday to Friday, you will also receive paid administration hours to complete required tasks outside of service hours.
During the school holidays, split shifts are not required as you will take the children to exciting local attractions which include theme parks, zoos, cinemas and more.
As a passionate people leader, you will mentor others and promote professional development and service success. You have the ability to coordinate priorities, manage escalations with demonstrated competency within frameworks and regulations.
This role is suited to a childcare/ youth professional with the ability to manage large teams within group environments.

About you

Diploma / Bachelor (or enrolment) within; Education, Childcare, Physical Education, Youth work, Community Service, Allied Health or similar
Leadership skills & experience working with children/ youth in a group environment
Availability Monday-Friday Morning - 7am to 9am PLUS Admin hours

About the role
As the Program Coordinator you will design, manage and lead an established program and a fantastic, supportive team, including a permanent part time Assistant who will work each morning and afternoon. You will have access to an existing pool of trained and qualified casual staff for any ratio/last minute shifts, as well as a staffing support team. We value our links with the school and wider community, so your role will allow you to network with the school, foster existing this into your programming. You will plan healthy eating menus and incorporate fun child driven programs based on both the interests and passions of children at your program and the strengths and skills of you and your team.
We are currently seeking a Permanent Part Time Coordinator. The hours set out below will be workable across school terms, but the total weekly hours a
