The Role

This is a rare opportunity for a TAFE graduate or someone who is looking to return to the workforce or change careers. Joining as a Cadet Signalling Drafter you will gain invaluable on the job training and learn from experienced drafters and engineers who will support you to build a successful career at Aurecon in the Signalling Drafting area.

You will become an integral part of our wider Rail Infrastructure team comprising of highly skilled specialists who ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients. With a focus across a range of major to mid-sized rail projects you will have the opportunity to do meaningful work, contributing to the delivery of city shaping projects that positively change the community you live in.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.
- Managing signalling drafting cell libraries
- Assist in drafting signalling circuits
- Utilise (primarily) MicroStation and from time to time also AutoCAD

What we are looking for
- TAFE qualification in drafting, electrical engineering or similar
- Genuine interest in building a drafting career in rail signalling
- Working experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD would be highly regarded
- Attention to detail
- Sound communication skills
- Ability to collaborate in a multi-discipline environment
- Driven to continuously learn and develop new skills
