**The Role**
The Instructional Designer role is responsible for managing and creating the resources required in time for classes as well as moving current resources onto the new online platform. The role would is based in North Sydney, however, there is flexibility to work from home for the majority of the time and come into the office between once per week to once a month depending on priorities. If preferred, you can be in the office full-time.
Preference is Sydney based person, however, we are open to someone further should this be required
Essential
- Extensive experience in developing high quality, engaging training materials and resources to suit the needs of diverse cohorts
- Experience in both eLearning content and face to face classroom content development
- Must hold the current TAE40116 qualification and 5 years plus training experience
- Experience in updating resources to align with qualification transition
- Strong working knowledge of the ACSF, AQF and Standards for Registered Training Organisations
- Strong ability to map units of competency to training materials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent skills in word processing and document formatting
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Proficient with Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proactive and able to use initiative
Preferable
- Qualification in the Diploma in Training Design and Development is highly desirable
- Experience with Adobe Captivate or other similar programs for training development
- Experience working with domestic student Registered Training Organisations [RTO’s]
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and develop training materials for face to face, online and distance delivery in a VET environment
- Develop resources or scenarios and activities for resources
- Manage training resources and their contextualisation to job seeker, employed, and trainee cohorts
- Ensure compliance is maintained across the three RTOs for training and assessment materials
- Ensuring alignment of training materials to the unit of competency at the correct AQF level
- Working with SME’s to ensure resources are using the correct terminology and for training and assessment concepts
- Quality assuring resources
- Developing online content from current resources
- Develop forms and documents as required
- Ensuring training resources are pre-validated and ready for delivery
- Writing documents and reports as required
- Manage training and assessment resources and timeframes
- General administration support to both the Director and CEO as required in line with business needs
- Duties as directed.
