**Therapy Assistant - Speech Pathology**
**Salary**: $65,000 - $70000 per annum
**Employment Type**: Part-time with potential to transition to full-time hours
**Location**: Office located in Campsie
**About Affective Care**
Affective Care is a registered NDIS provider supporting children and adults with disability through psychology, nursing, and allied health services. **The Role**
We are seeking a Therapy Assistant to support our Speech Pathologists in delivering high-quality communication and swallowing support to people living with disability. This is a great opportunity for someone studying or qualified in allied health who is passionate about helping others, enjoys working in a team, and wants hands-on experience in a clinical and community setting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide support and assistance to the admin team
- Assist with therapy preparation and follow-up tasks under the supervision of a Speech Pathologist
- Support clients with practice activities, both in clinic and community settings
- Document session outcomes and observations for review by the supervising therapist
- Help develop visual aids, resources, and communication tools
- Liaise with participants, families, and support workers to reinforce therapy goals
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all clients
**Essential Criteria**
- Currently studying or completed a qualification in Speech Pathology, Allied Health Assistance, or a related field
- Passion for working with people of all ages and abilities
- Clear and respectful communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current National Police Check
- Current Driver’s License
- Ability to follow clinical guidance and work independently where required
**Desirable**
- Previous experience supporting allied health professionals or NDIS participants
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems
