**The Role**:
CDC NSW have an exciting Bus Service Planner role based at its Thornton depot. The Bus Service Planner is responsible for providing support to the Service Development Manager in the planning of bus service networks operated by CDC NSW.

The position provides information and reports to both internal and external groups where appropriate.

The compliance of all services and practices with Government Legislation, policies, procedural and Company contractual guidelines is a key component of this role.

Key Performance Requirements and Duties:

- Ensure that service plans comply with the requirements of the contracts between the government and CDC NSW
- Develop business cases for new or altered public route and school networks including patronage and cost/revenue projections
- Assist with design of new networks using land use and behavior data such as activity centers, travel time (including value), population density, mínimal service levels, based on relevant service planning guidelines
- Maintain bus service data such as On Time Running, Opal and student listings
- Awareness of longer-term planning data such as Journey to Work (JTW), Household Travel
- Provide advice on bus related traffic engineering matters
- Work with the relevant authority developing strategic corridors and bus priority works
- Represent CDC at various committees as required and effectively work with unions

**About You**:

- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities whilst delivering on agreed timelines.
- Strong PC proficiency, particularly MS Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to learn and work with Hastus scheduling software
