Immediate start for a leadership position within a scenic council in Melbourne's outer south-east
**Your new company**
An exciting new TEMP opportunity within a scenic shire council is currently available due to internal staff movements.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Recreation and Open Space Planning Coordinator will oversee all sports and leisure open space programs across council from the initial planning through to coordinating capital works activities.
**Your new role and what you'll need to succeed**
This role will suit someone with a strong background in the sports and recreation and/or open space planning and delivery space, ideally from a government background, looking for the next step up in their career.
- Ideally you will have be able to demonstrate extensive experience in; planning, implementing and delivering recreation and capital works projects including oval redevelopments, netball courts, sports pavilions, sports lighting, cricket pitches etc.
- You will also have strong stakeholder engagement, management and consultation skills including ability to present at toolbox meetings, site meetings, community consultation briefings and high level meetings with councillors.
