The purpose of this role is to specifically supervise our local NWMH Psychiatry Registrars (local and Specialist IMGs) while undertaking their Psychotherapy Written Case for RANZCP College requirements.

In this role, the Psychotherapy Supervisor will meet regularly with the psychiatry registrar allocated by the NWMH Psychotherapy Coordinator to be supervised by them. This meeting is expected to be weekly, either with an individual registrar or a group of 2, so the Supervisor may be supervising with 2 - 4 psychiatry registrars at any one time.

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Psychotherapy Supervisor team. This is a Casual position, based at Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus in Parkville.

**Formal Qualifications required**
- Full medical registration in Australia
- FRANZCP

**Essential**:

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
- Be a practitioner in the field of long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy with at least 2 years supervision in psychodynamic psychotherapy
- Have demonstrated further professional development in psychodynamic psychotherapy (either through self-guided learning or completion of a training program such as the Certificate of Advanced Training in the Psychotherapies or equivalent)
- Be a current RANZCP Accredited Supervisor
- Successfully undergo a Police Records and Working with Children’s Check for pre-employment screening.

**Desirable**:

- Demonstrated interest and experience in medical education and leadership
- Demonstrated commitment to training and education.
