**About the PetSkills Internship Program**
**We are seeking enthusiastic aspiring dog trainers for an Internship in the Dog Training team under the PetSkills Internship Program.**
**This is a paid Internship for 12 months in which you will work at Heathcote on a full-time basis while completing the nationally accredited ACM30122 Certificate III in Animal Care Services through Hanrob College after hours.**
**The PetSkills Internship Program will provide you with essential and current training and work accountabilities in your work role within animal welfare and behaviour, WHS, customer service, animal care, enrichment, animal first aid, animal nutrition and exercise, conditioning, grooming and dog training dependent upon work role and specialisation and interacting with animals. Working within our Pet Hotels and Playgrounds you have the opportunity to study, learn, work and develop skills to become a vital team member within the Hanrob team.**
**College Tutorials are one evening per week for approximately one hour in addition to the required readings and assessment tasks across the 17 units of study**

**You are enthusiastic, dependable, focussed, and excited to aspire to a career in Dog Training & gaining your qualification in Animal Care Services. You enjoy working as part of a team, and enjoy combining work and learning to assist team and organisational goals**:
**To be considered for the PetSkills Internship Program, you will be**:
- **Committed to a career in Dog Training**:
- **Willing to combine work and study and allocate the equivalent of at least 1 day a week to study**:
- **Available to work during school holidays and on weekends on a rotating roster**:
- **A good communicator and positive person who enjoys teamwork**:
- **Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise work and study tasks**:
- **Willing and able to adhere to Hanrob Pet Hotels' operating procedures and work health and safety requirements at all times**:
- **Able to work independently yet under guidance as needed**:
- **Ability to work within a fast-paced work environment**:
- **Strongly passionate about companion animals**:
- **A licensed driver, and access to a car (and clean driving record)**:
- **Able to physically undertake duties to fulfill tasks associated with animal care - this is a physically active position**:
- **Be over the age of 18.**
