- Available to you will be working a 9-day fortnight with RDOs every second week.

In this role, you'll play a vital part in building bridges and promoting positive relationships between our procurement function and First Nations businesses. This role will also lead the development and implementation of Powerlink's modern slavery program of works, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and fostering ethical sourcing practices.

You will;
- Own and implement the ongoing requirements of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) procurement commitments
- Identify, analyse, and make recommendations to improve Powerlink's procurement approach to engaging First Nations businesses.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Procurement Team to influence and implement improvements to procurement processes.
- Educate the business on the Queensland Indigenous Procurement Policy (QIPP) and identify and communicate opportunities for procurement from First Nations businesses.
- Monitor and report on procurement trends across Powerlink to observe improvements in First Nations engagement.
- Produce reports demonstrating spend, locations, or other relevant data relating to Powerlink's engagement with First Nations businesses.
- Lead the development and implementation of Powerlink's modern slavery program of works, ensuring compliance legislation.
- Drive engagement with key internal and external stakeholders to develop methodologies, tools, and strategies for addressing modern slavery risks.
- Some travel to FNQ may be occasionally required

**Your expertise**:

- Demonstrated understanding of government policies related to the engagement of Indigenous businesses
- Familiarity with the Modern Slavery Act and experience in developing and implementing modern slavery programs
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with Indigenous community groups, businesses, and stakeholders
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to analyse spend data, identify trends, and make recommendations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
