Mid-tier gold miner seeks project geologist to provide technical expertise for both underground and surface op

**Your new company**

The client is an ASX listed gold miner with a new focus on the Eastern Goldfields Region, where they have recently embarked on an acquisition and consolidation strategy. They are fully funded and have completed a feasibility study long projecting life of mine. The clients are putting together a new team to take on an underground mine in the Eastern Goldfields. There is a processing facility on site which will be fed by the underground mine and satellite works.

**Your new role**

As a Project Mine Geologist, you are expected to provide technical expertise and ensure all work is carried out in a safe. Structured, agreed, and timely manner - supporting both Open Pit and Underground projects.

Reporting to the Geology Superintendent your main responsibilities will include:

- Grade control drilling (both Open Pit and Underground operations)
- Ability to confidently generate geology wireframes for modelling purposes based on drill core and face mapping
- Designing RC & Diamond drilling programs; sampling; logging operational grade control Core and RC chips
- Grade Control & Resource model generation
- Weekly and monthly reports of drilling results and project updates
- Proving geology interpretations for the production teams for block modelling
- Scheduling improvement projects and monitoring performance against mine plan
- Working as part of a team, contributing to team outcomes and support to team members

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Proven background in a similar role within both underground and open pit operations
- Experience working with Gold
- Exposure to bulk commodities will be a bonus
- Ideally a high level of proficiency using MS Office, Acquire, Leapfrog, 3D modelling packages
- Geology tertiary qualification
- Current National Police Clearance, within 6 months
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test
