Scrum Master position for an exciting time in this organisation.

**Your new role**

The Scrum Master will also report to the Program Manager for functional management and direction on day-to-day activities.

As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for building a self-organising Scrum team to deliver product enhancements and feature upgrades.

You will oversee all the Agile ceremonies and lead the team through ongoing projects.

The Scrum Master will support and educate the development team and is responsible for incremental product delivery.

You will have experience wearing multiple hats where you can work with cross-functional teams to deliver unique and complex projects. You can devise creative strategies and initiatives with the team to deliver business outcomes.

Supporting the Product Owner to define the product roadmap and prioritisation of the backlog, you will be something of a mentor, bringing your passion for Agile practices and continuous improvement, always on the lookout for ways the team and its stakeholders can improve as you seek to instil a sense of pride in the teams you work with.

Responsibilities of this position will also include:

- Ensuring that the Product Owner has clarity on arranging the product backlog to yield maximised value
- Formulating techniques for effective Product Backlog Management, guiding the team to understand the need for clear and concise product backlog items.
- Facilitate and host all the Scrum events, including Sprint Planning Meetings, Daily Stand-up Meetings, Reviews and Retrospectives.
- Help the development team to create high-value products and become experts in their product domain.
- Removing project impediments that stand in the way of team productivity and performance
- Act as a conduit between the team and shared services to manage development intra-dependencies
- Creating transparency in processes and resolving conflicts
- Contribute to evolving reporting methods and metrics that provide management with insight into performance and delivery.
- Coaching the development team in an environment in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood.
- Employ servant leadership strategies to encourage, enable and energise the team to realise their potential.
- Acts as a change agent for the Scrum transformation, helping in the adoption and scaling of Scrum across all levels and ensuring that everyone is on board with the Agile mindset and culture.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Certification in Scrum; SAFe advantageous
- 5+ years operating as a Scrum Master in a Digital, matrixed environment
- Exceptional knowledge of the Scrum Framework and techniques for establishing and maturing the fundamentals of Scrum within the team and organisation
- Strong firsthand experience with JIRA and other Agile tooling to manage work
- Demonstrable experience in Agile coaching 1:1 and a team environment

Preferred skills and attributes for the position:

- An effective and knowledgeable Scrum process coach, able to pinpoint technical issues the team needs to address and the technologies the team will use to come up with end solutions.
- Patient servant leader that gives time to the team to arrive at appropriate answers on their own, only stepping in when they are unable to deal with matters without support.
- Superior collaborator able to work with the product owner, development team, and all other parties; even those who might not be directly involved with Scrum
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and use initiative to manage workloads.
- Expert communicator and people leader with an ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels both internal and external.
- Strong customer focus with superior influence and negotiation skills
- Effective problem solver who can manage conflict in a respectful manner
- Able to adapt Scrum within a Program and Project Management governance framework
