**About the Role**

This is a newly created role designed to support our continued growth and investment in production efficiency. We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Mechanical Fitter to join our team. In this fast-paced position, you’ll work closely with the wider production team to attend to equipment breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance that reduces downtime and keeps operations running smoothly.

**What you’ll do**:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a variety of machinery
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability
- Assist with machinery installations and upgrades
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment status
- Collaborate with the production team to resolve issues
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in line with WHS standards

**What we’re looking for**:

- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (signage or printing preferred)
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a strong safety focus
