Civil Works Foreman

The Newcastle & Hunter regions are all systems go in the civil asphalt sector. Torra have recently partnered with a local Asphalt and Road Repairs leader who are looking to expand their crew with ongoing positions based around Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

Accurate Asphalt & Road Repairs (AARR) is a well established, dynamic, Newcastle based company, focused on the provision of a diverse range of road construction and maintenance services to Government, Public and Private sectors across NSW. Specialising in asphalt, in-situ stabilisation and civil construction AARR is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and building strong customer relationships.

If you have an excellent understanding of the civil construction in-situ stabilisation processes and a willingness to get the job done to high quality standards in a safe manner then this job will be most rewarding for you.

You will be required to support the Works Supervisor to organise and lead a team executing full-service civil construction and in-situ stabilisation works.

This position involves travel away from the Hunter area and is a hands on role.

**_Essential Skills:_**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the civil construction industry
- Experienced Leader in construction processes
- Aptitude in quantity measurements and drawings
- Capable of operating heavy plant
- Capacity to follow instructions, work independently or as part of a team
- Complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
- Work to high safety and quality standards
- You must be honest, reliable, responsible and have a desire to succeed
- HR Truck Licence

**_Preferable Skills:_**
- Experience with In-Situ Stabilisation (i.e. Stabilising Machines and Spreader Trucks)
- Mechanical background
- Welding skills
