**About the Role**

**Off the back of a successful first year in our gallery we now have an opening for a casual front of house administrative and sales position to provide support and assistance with artwork sales in our gallery. Working closely with the Gallery Manager and Curator to manage the day-to-day running of the gallery, you’ll also be hands-on in assisting with the planning, installation and packdown of exhibitions.**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
In this role, you'll be required to:
- Greet clients - ensuring you are personable and knowledgeable about the artists and artwork on display.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain the stock database Assist with documenting and editing of artwork images.
- Ensure the gallery is kept clean and tidy.
- Help with installation and pack down of exhibitions.
- Assist with the organisation and running of exhibition opening events.
- Be available to work some evenings and weekends as required.
**Your skills, experience and attitude**:
This is a unique opportunity for someone who would love to gain exposure to working in a successful art gallery and who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves to help with a variety of tasks.
To be successful, you'll need:
- Retail sales or customer service skills and experience
- Ability to work effectively both one-on-one as well as in a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with well-developed organisational skills
- Strong computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to show initiative and multitask on both short and long-term projects.
**Bonus points if you can also tick these boxes**:
- Tertiary arts qualification/s.
- Photography skills and/or qualifications.
- Previous experience within an art organisation.
- Previous experience in hospitality and/or event coordination
- Social media skills.
